Elder Lalthienghlim Tuolor has assumed charge as Presbytery Secretary of the Assam Hills Presbytery, Independent Church of India (ICI), in a handover ceremony held today (3rd May, 2026) at Muolhoi, Haflong, Dima Hasao, Assam.
He steps in for Rev. Michael Z. Zote, who proceeds to Bangalore to pursue doctoral studies at the South Asia Institute of Advanced Christian Studies (SAIACS) — a move sanctioned earlier by the ICI Executive Council.
The ceremony was attended by Rev. Lalrohlu, Secretary for Ministries at the ICI Secretariat, who officiated the handover, along with members of the Presbytery Standing Committee, Assam Hills Presbytery.
The arrangement is temporary, pending the mid-term Council meeting expected in the coming months.
