A formal handing-over ceremony for the charge of Office Superintendent of the Independent Church of India (ICI) Secretariat was held today, May 18, 2026, under the chairmanship of Rev. Lalneikhup Hmar, Executive Secretary of the Church.
During the ceremony, Mr. David Traite officially handed over the charge to Ms. L. Ruth.
Ms. Ruth was appointed as Office Superintendent by the 175th Executive Council through Resolution No. 16 during its meeting held at Khawlian on December 8, 2025.
Mr. David Traite had served as the Office Superintendent for several years. The 175th Executive Council had earlier resolved to send him for Bachelor of Divinity (B.D.) studies at Union Biblical Seminary, Pune. As the academic session is scheduled to commence in June, the transfer of charge was carried out at this time.
Meanwhile, Mr. Samuel L. Joute, who is currently serving as Accountant at the ICI Secretariat, was also entrusted with the additional responsibility of Circulation Manager for the Church’s monthly magazine, Kristien.
