In a formal ceremony held this morning at 8:00 AM, Rev. Jonathan Infimate handed over the charge of Principal of Sielmat Bible College to Rev. Dr. V. Lalnghakthang. The transition took place in the presence of the institution’s Board of Governors and faculty members.
The handover was officially witnessed and endorsed by Rev. Dr. J.L. Songate, Chairman, and Rev. Dr. James R. Ruolngul, Secretary of Christian Education for the Independent Church of India, who affixed their signatures to the certificate of transfer.
Rev. Jonathan Infimate, who has served the Independent Church of India for 22 years in various capacities across North East India, retires after reaching the age of 65. The 76th General Assembly of the Independent Church of India, convened at Khawlian, Mizoram from December 3-7, 2025, granted him superannuation with full pension benefits. Subsequently, the 175th Executive Council of the Church appointed Rev. Dr. V. Lalnghakthang as his successor.
The Sielmat Bible College community requests prayers for Rev. Jonathan Infimate as he enters this new season of retirement, and for Rev. Dr. V. Lalnghakthang as he assumes leadership of the institution. May God’s wisdom and grace guide the college in its continued mission of theological education and ministry preparation in the years ahead.
