Sielmat, April 10, 2026 — A three-day Finance and Accounts Training programme is currently being held at Sielmat Bible College from April 9 to 11, 2026, bringing together approximately 67 participants, including Pastors and Office Clerks from various Presbyteries and mission fields.
The training is organized to strengthen financial management practices across church administrative units. Participants include not only Pastors but also Office Clerks and Assistants who play key roles in handling financial matters at Presbytery and Field offices.
A similar training programme was conducted in 2025 by the Finance Department at Hmarkhawlien and Sielmat for Pastors. However, due to ministry commitments, academic engagements, and other constraints, several individuals were unable to attend. The current programme has therefore been arranged to accommodate those who missed the earlier sessions while expanding participation to include additional administrative staff.
The resource persons for the training are Mr. Joyful L. Ṭhiek, Finance Manager; Mr. Samuel L. Joute, Accountant; and Mr. Alan K. Songate, Senior Accountant, all from the ICI General Headquarters.
The training covers a wide range of financial topics, including financial structures, cash handling, banking systems, billing processes, and account maintenance, aiming to promote transparency, accountability, and efficiency in financial operations.
The programme is expected to enhance the capacity of church workers in managing finances effectively across various levels of administration.
