11 July, 2019: Today is the 33rd Founding Day of the Nehemiah Prayer Team (NPT). The day will be observed by NPT members throughout the different presbyteries of the Independent Church of India with fasting prayers and worship services. The NPT had been founded in 1986 as a result of a series of Salvation Camps organised by the then Saikawt District Youth Department in Churachandpur, Manipur.
As the name suggests, NPT is a prayer team based on the biblical Nehemiah who fasted and prayed to the God of heavens. The major aim of the team is to pray for the church, for the society and the nation. It has several prayer mountains (hills rather!) in at least nine locations where people of different denominations, tribe and other backgrounds are always welcome to spend their time praying.
